MCA Reflection

 MCA had very interesting art work. It looks different what I saw artwork in the past. It was my first experience about modern art museum. I thought modern art would be specific looking and having certain meaning, but when I saw this time in MCA, my thought changed differently. It was very abstract and most of artwork used material which we can see easily in our life. For me, the first artwork in museum which is gay couple make sweater together. I thought at first they closely sit on each other, but when the time goes, they are far from them. I think it means at first, love each other can close each other, but when the time goes, love would be disappear. 

The Happiness show

We went the happiness show for field trip. It was my first experience about exhibition. 

There were many interesting art work there. 

For me, the most interesting art work was bicycle that when people ride bicycle, the lights are working on and it makes word. I didn't remember what sentence it was, but it might be very meaningful word i guess. I also enjoyed to see statistics about man and woman's difference. There are big wall which stick paper on it. My first impression was it looks very nice. The paper shook by wind, and it looks very cool. 

My architecture experience

This architecture is named Hanokk. It is traditional architecture style of korea. In the past, all of house style were like this. My grandparents house is also like this. In now days, most of building build like apartment which is very tall and big, but in the rural location, there are still reserved these kind of house. I like this atmosphere such as peace, calm, and quiet. Every January, I go to my grandparents house, and i really enjoy this peaceful atmosphere. 

Art institue Web site reflection

I went to art institutes' website following Gitte's instruction. I went to collections page and click the asian page to learn asian art work. I spent my most of time at these collections page. There were many similar things that i saw in Korean museum. I tried to add to add my favorite art to my collection several times, but all these  trying failed. I don't know why it didn't work. I really enjoyed searching websites and it was my first experience that looked around museum sites.
 

Boat Trip.

 I really enjoyed boat trip. The weather is perfectly sunshine and cool. Also, the sky is blue and clear.

Actually, I have been boat trip before when I came to Chicago first time last fall. At that time, I didn't

enjoy boat trip well, because I didn't have any information about architecture. So I just looked at the

huge building in Chicago. However, at this time, I really felt that I learned many things in this field trip.

Before we went to boat trip, teacher teached architecture information, so it really helped me to

understand what guide talking about. There are many beautiful architectures in Chicago. I loved

Chicago so much since we had been in Boat trip.

Shadow.

I choose this picture of shadow, because I like this image most. There are my shadow and water bottle shadow in this image. I used my stand light to make a shadow. My shadow picture seems like ghost. I took it in my studio, and It looked like horror movie. I took my shadow on it, and it looked like ghost.

Color and SHIFT Reflections

 Every colors have their own character. I like simple colors which is not too bright or not too dark, such as sky blue, yellow and green. For me, sky is amazing because sky is not only one color they can be white, blue, yellow, orange, red, black. It's up to time. When I was young, I really liked to see the sky. I was thinking so many things while watching the sky. When I saw the sky and changing color, I thought sky has a feeling so they express their feeling as changing the colors. If the sky was clean blue, I thought the sky is fine. If the sky was red, I thought maybe sky was angry about getting old which means time is going through.

 The exhibit SHIFT was fantastic experience to me. I really liked it. I thought colors are so beautiful when they met together and harmonized. The light changed colors and it was great harmony.

 I think the title of SHIFT means changing color and harmony.
